Terms and Conditions

Assigning: .LK domains are open to registered entities, the domain name must be in relation with your entity (indeed you will have to provide the reasons of your registration request of the domain name which will be considered by the Registry during the examination of your request). The administrative contact associated to your domain name must be a person of your entity
Syntax: from 4 to 63 alphanumeric characters or a hyphen (excluding in the first and last place)
IDN: not provided by Gandi
Registration period: 1, 2, 5 or 10 years
Subdomains: not provided by Gandi

Procedures

Registration: once your registration request made, you will have to send us the registration letter filled out on the official headed paper of your entity with the following information:
- the domain name requested
- the name and the registration number of your entity
- the name and the contact details (address, phone, fax and email) of the administrative contact
- the reason of your registration request of the domain name.
Furthermore, the registration of a .LK domain name automatically includes the reservation of the same name under the subdomains .COM.LK, .ORG.LK and .EDU.LK provided that the domain name is available. You can request the activation of the reserved subdomains, please contact our Corporate team (this service is charged)
DNS: you must specify DNS that are correctly configured for the domain name that you intend to register
