Creating a Gandi handle

In order for Gandi to be able to identify you, we give you a type of ID called a "Handle".

A Gandi handle consists of a couple of letters followed by a number and ending with -GANDI. Handles are important for a number of reasons, the most important being that it is a convenient way to add people as contacts of a domain. Once created, the name associated with a handle cannot be changed.

It is therefore very important that you provide accurate and complete information when you make your Gandi handle. This is because once your handle is associated with the registered domain(s), the legal owner or administrative, technical, or billing contact of the domain is defined by the information provided when the handle was made.

Unless you live in France and are registering a .fr domain (the form is slightly longer), you will need to fill out the following form, thus creating your handle. The first part involves selecting the type of account, and the name and address of the person that will be represented by the Gandi handle.
