Illustrated Guide
Your website 'doesn't work'
If your website is not longer accessible when you type in your domain name in your web browser, there may be several causes, each with its own solution.
As Gandi is not a web host, unless the problem is administrative (expired domain, registration problem, etc.) you will need to contact your web host.
| Possible Reason | Solution |
| Expired domain | Renew your domain with Gandi |
| Problem with your web host | Contact your web host |
| DNS zone file invalid | Contact your web host.
If you are using Gandi's custom DNS, verify that you have entered the correct information in your zone, as provided to you by your web host. |
| DNS invalid or down | Contact your web host |
| The site your are forwarding to is unavailable | Contact the web host of the site you are forwarding your domain to |
| Your domain has not had time for the DNS to be updated | Please wait up to 48 hours after changing your DNS or creating a domain |
| Your domain has been suspended due to invalid registration information | Correct the registration data as required by updating your owner handle information via Gandi's website. |
| Your domain has been suspended due to invalid technical settings (DNS error for .fr domains) | Correct the technical settings as indicated by any error message you may have received. |
