Creating a SMTP account for Thunderbird
To begin, run Thunderbird, go to the "Edit" menu and select "Account Settings..."
Then, scroll down to the very bottom of the menu on the left of the pop-up Account Settings window and click on "Outgoing Server (SMTP)"

Click on the "Add..." button on the upper-right hand corner of the pop-up window (or "Edit..." if you would prefer to modify an existing account)
You may then add whatever description you would like - this is what you will call this configuration in the previous list.
The Server Name will be smtp.yourdomain.tld, which in the case of our example is smtp.tutorielgandi.com and the port will remain the default port (port 25).
Enter your username, which is the FULL e-mail address that you created.
Change the security setting to TLS, if available (default value).
Your SMTP configuration is ready...bravo! You will now be asked for your e-mail account's password for sending mail. This is of course the same password that you chose when you created your e-mail account.
