What is a handle?

Your domain name is managed by three contacts. These contacts are authenticated via an ID code, or "handle". Each handle is linked to a person, and protected by a password.

To find out what a contact's handle is for a given domain name, you just need to do a Whois query.

Each registrar uses its own handles. You cannot use IDs from other registrars. You can easily spot Gandi handles: they always end with -GANDI.
