How long do I have to wait after having modified or created an e-mail account?
The modification and creation of an e-mail account takes less than 5 minutes.This time frame does not take into consideration any of the changes that must be made before you can use the Gandi Mail service (DNS change, MX record creation, etc.).
WARNING! If you are using the old forwarding service:
- If you are already on our new a,b,c.dns.gandi.net servers, the update period takes about 1 hour.
- If you are using our old DNS: full1.gandi.net and full2.gandi.net, you will need to wait for the usual DNS propagation period to be over, which is usually a maximum of about 12 hours.
