Answers to Your Questions
Can I configure my domain with my own DNS ?
You have a permanent connection and you have configured your own DNS. You must update your DNS in your domain name's technical settings.
Verify that your nameservers have been registered with the appropriate Registry.
- To register a new nameserver, contact the administrator of the domain in which your DNS is contained. For example, if your DNS is called a.dns.gandi.net, you must contact the owner of gandi.net. If the domain has been registered by Gandi, its administrative or technical contact may register your server in our "Manage" page. Sticking with the example of a.dns.gandi.net, the domain gandi.net is registered by Gandi. It is therefore only AR41-GANDI (technical contact of the domain) that may make the DNS registration with the registry.
- All that remains now is to associate the nameserver to your Gandi domain, by using the Manage section.
To register a nameserver with the registry for a domain that you acquired by Gandi, please use your Control Panel. After selecting the domain, in the "Technical Settings" area (on the bottom of the page), you may "Create a glue record".
Note :
Unless you use our secondary DNS, your new list of DNS must not have any of Gandi's nameservers. They will not be correctly configured for your domain, which will cause problems in their operation.
