What is 3D-Secure System
Since October 2008, the '3D Secure' norm became mandatory. It is used under the 'Verified by Visa' and 'MasterCard SecureCode' labels, for online payments on the Internet.What is it about?
It is an additional control measure asking the buyer to validate the transaction. This control is made by your bank directly via the net with a method of their own (secret code, personal information, cheap reading box, etc...)
This new type of control insures that the buyer is indeed the holder of the Visa or MasterCard used for the purchase.
