Communities at Gandi
How it works
Our offer of community-based servers opens the doors to an infinite range of possibilities. In order to bring the maximum power of our dedicated servers to all, we have associated them with the idea of communities. These communities allow for Gandi's customers to provide peer-to-peer assistance depending on everyone's level of experience.
Community-based tools
You are free to choose whether or not you wish to participate in the Gandi community. As a new customer, you will be invited into the Gandi community, which is the main community. Next, you will even have the possibility of founding your own community.
Each community has the possibility of choosing their own look and feel, and to use the following:
-
A Gandi Blog
to discuss current events in the life of the community, share images and interesting information with the community... -
A Gandi Groups forum
accessible to all, you may discuss issues within your community or with members of other communities. Our Gandi Groups are accessible either via newsgroup server or via our website. -
A knowledge database
allowing for the accumulation of the combined knowledge of your community and all of Gandi's communities. The database will allow structuring the knowledge of Gandi's customers in the form of a tutorial. -
A mailing list (first quarter of 2008)
so you can share your ideas by e-mail as well (it is up to you whether or not you wish to subscribe) -
An IRC server (first quarter of 2008)
that you can use to chat directly with other members of your community.
Community-to-community help
Because of the limitless range of possibilities with our servers, a single community might not have a response to all your questions. Therefore, we have put together a community-to-community exchange service that lets you post your questions to members of a community that is more experienced in the subject.

Support
We will install and configure your server for you, automatically and without any additional fee.
