Processor power

We have put this table together in order to help you visualize how powerful a given number of Gandi hosting "shares" are. For more information on this, and to see how many shares may be appropriate to your needs, please visit this page.

What is "reserve"?

A dedicated machine consumes a lot of energy, while on average only using up to 15% of its capacity. By dividing our servers into equal, and guaranteed shares, we are able to optimize the use of the server, so that this figure increases to 50%. Our "reserve" system, allows allowating the remaining unused "50%" to our customers.

UnixBench

If you have an existing service and you do not know how many shares you will need, note that UnixBench v4.1 gives a single Gandi share a score of 40. If, for example your current server has a score of 100, and if you only use 30% of its full power on average, one share should be enough for your server's needs.
