How many shares do I need?

Here you will find examples of using our our servers from 1 to 32 shares. This list is definitely not exhaustive, and you are totally free to do whatever you wish with your shares. We recommend that you only use as many shares as you need, and to add additional shares to reach the level of performance that you need.

1 share is equal to a server with 256 MB of RAM (+512 MB of swap), 5 GB of RAID6 disk space reserved for your data (the system is on another disk) and 5 Mbits of guaranteed bandwidth (up to 1.5 TB of transfer per month).

2 shares

2 shares is equal to a server on 1 or 2 processors with 512 MB of guaranteed memory (+512 MB of swap), 10 GB of RAID6 disk space and 10 Mbits of bandwidth

a shared storage server

4 shares

4 shares gives you the possibility of a server with 2 to 4 processors, with 1 GB of guaranteed RAM (+512 MB of SWAP), 20 GB of RAID6 and 20 Mbits of bandwidth.

16 shares

16 provides you with the possibility of having a server with 2 to 8 processors, 2 GB of RAM guaranteed (+512 MB of SWAP), an 80 GB RAID6 data disk, and 80 Mbits of dedicated bandwidth

32 shares gives you the power of a high-performance machine of 4 to 8 processors with 8 GB of RAM, a 160 GB RAID6 disk, and 160 Mbits of guaranteed bandwidth
