With .miami now entering the GoLive phase October 2, 2015, we'd like to pitch you our crime procedural we've been working on. Imagine, now, you're transported to a place where every interior shot is bathed in an orange glow, as though the sun were perpetually setting, where every exterior shot is ridiculously overexposed, and where "science" means examining various colored liquids in test tubes.

A strawberry-blond detective in aviator sunglasses confidently strides across the sun-drenched parking lot of the marina.

"What have we got here, Frank?" he asks disinterestedly, taking his sunglasses off and squatting down next to him as Frank zipped the body bag.

"Victim is a 35-year-old female, tourist from Wisconsin, multiple--"

"I heard the report already, Frank," says the detective, not wanting his partner to delve into the gory details he had already heard over the radio on the car ride over, "Any leads?"

"Friends say she came down to catch some sun, drink mojitos, register some gTLDs," Frank says in a tone somewhere between tough-love and outright judgement.

"Well it looks like …" the pink-faced, strawberry-blond detective says, putting his sunglasses back on, "… she should have registered her domain … in .miami …"

[Queue theme song, opening credits]

We kid, but this extension is for all things great about Miami, which is a lot more than what you see on TV. In the GoLive phase, .miami domains are available for $24.99 a year at A rates.

Sometimes, when we're feeling lonely and our miniature horses are mad at us, we like to think about the personalities of each of the letters of the alphabet.

There's A, for example: always has to be first in line. Can't let anyone forget it. Type A, 100%, 4.0 GPA, squeaky clean. F which just doesn't seem to care. Poor grades, flunking out, it doesn't give two F-words. Even pronouncing it is like trying to make another, better sound but giving up.

But ever notice all the cool letters hang out at the end of the alphabet? X, Y, and Z are the cool kids. Like hat-backwards-sunglasses-leather-jacket cool kids. Which is why .xyz is so great.

With the end of September we just wrapped up a great promotion on .xyz domains, but don't feel too bad if you missed out on this deal because from October 1 through December 31st, 2015, you can pay just $5.00 for the first year of a new .xyz domain.

Is there a web developers month? Maybe we ought to declare October web developers month. Not only does a great promotion on .host start this month, but another great promotion runs this month that would be perfect for developers: .site.

Whatever type of .site you specialize in (even if you don't actually design sites but just customize templates … shhhh we won't tell), this month's promotion lets you purchase a .site for just $1.99 per year (normally $34.87) at A rates.

The promotion on .site is for the month of October only. So get yours before heading out to trick-or-treat this October 31st.

Starting in the month of October and lasting until January 15, 2016, domains in the .press extension will be available for $19.90 (normally $94.97) for the first year at A rates and .host domains will be available for $17.99 (normally $124.93) for the first year at A rates.

Despite reports to the contrary, print media is not dead. It just had a near-death experience, went on a spirit quest, and found itself. And like most who go through this kind of soul-searching, it's come back more interesting than ever.

Take, for example, last weekend's Steamroller Printing Festival when a 1924 Buffalo-Springfield Coal Powered Steamroller was used as a printing .press.

And the .press in general isn't dead either. In fact, it's never been more alive. The Internet has now made it possible for anyone to become a citizen-journalist; no steamroller printing .press required.

Well, there's no better extension, then, for the new journalists than .press itself.

If you're more in the hosting game (and we don't just mean your wicked Halloween parties), a promotion on .host starting this month. Whether you're a developer hosting your latest .site or if you are exclusively a hosting provider, this deal is for you.

Now that class schedules are set and enrollment closed for students, it's time to sign up for domain names.

On Tueday September 29, 2015, .college enters the GoLive phase, and while during Landrush only those eligible for .ac.uk domains or .edu domains could register, now anyone can, and it'll be cheaper than your cheapest textbook this semester at $92.71 per year at A rates. Do we dare say to give it the old .college try? Or is that too lame a joke to make for the kind of sophisticated crowd that buys .college domains? Probably.

To take advantage of the new .srl gTLD, which enters the Sunrise phase on a first-come-first-served basis this Tuesday September 22, 2015 at 8:00 AM PDT, you need to be able to provide a company ID number as well as the usual documentation of your TMCH claim. That's because .srl is something of a Latin-country equivalent of LLC.

Depending on the language, it stands for Società a Responsabilità Limitata (Italian), Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada (Spanish) or even Societate cu Raspundere Limitata (Romania).

If you qualify for one of these, you probably already knew that, but in any case these domains will be available in the Sunrise phase until October 21, 2015 for $229.87 apiece (per year, at A rates). Then, on October 26, 2015 at 7:00 AM PDT, this extension enters the GoLive phase, when it will be available for just $44.77 per year at A rates.

There are a lot of ways to be healthy and as the health food industry soars, we've seen a lot of ways to say "healthy" too but no matter how you do it or how you say it, the fundamentals are the same: exercise, eating right, and good, quality, preventative medicine.

Tuesday September 22 at 7:00 AM PDT, .健康 —the way to say "healthy" in Chinese—is entering the Sunrise phase, during which those able to corroborate their TMCH claim will be able to register a domain in this extension for the healthy price of $2016.19 per year, the same healthy price as it will be when it enters the GoLive phase on October 27, 2015 at midnight PDT.

A final note is that sites put on .健康 domains have to be about health, which, we guess should be obvious, but it is an explicit condition.

How do we measure the success of .rent? Well, we're certainly not expecting to get to five-hundred-twenty-five-thousand-six-hundred .rent domains, though that would admittedly be awesome. Still,we can try, and it wil be easier from now on! Since .rent is now in the GoLive phase, you only need to save up $92.71 to get your .rent domain (per year at A rates).

Register your .rent today, before it's late.

In most schools now, students have already gone back to school and starting their .courses (now entering the GoLive phase) including Gandi. This is the time in the semester when you start to show up on the fun classes and skip the boring ones. So here's the list of .courses we plan to actually attend this semester:

Sailing, 4 credits
8:00 AM, Monday, Wednesday, Friday
-------------
Setting .courses (you know, like a path) using .courses (like sails) is what this course is all about (of course), and even though it's 8:00 AM, the yacht rock the professor blasts as we practice sheepshanks makes it worth it.

Gym, 2 credits
3:00 PM, Monday, Wednesday
-------------
Okay mostly we're just want to get some physical activity, and going to the gym otherwise isn't worth 2 credits. This is the class where blood .courses through our veins and it's not just straight-up cardio work, but obstacle .courses and golf (on .courses) too.

Lute (yeah, the instrument), 3 credits
10:30 AM Tueday, Thursday
-------------
So far we've just been talking about theory like modes (whether it's major or minor) and syncopation (that great off-beat rhythm) and .courses (two strings played as a single note), but we're just waiting until we can rock-out Renaissance-style.

Culinary Arts, 3 credits
2:00 PM, Tuesday, Thursday
-------------
Really we just want to be able to impress guests with a meal with multiple .courses. That aren't all pasta.

Whatever .courses you feel like actually going to this semester, starting Wednesday September 23 at 9:00 AM PDT, you can buy your .courses domain since this extension is now in the GoLive phase, for just $51.67 per year at A rates.

Queue Strauss's Also sprach Zarathustra because … this Wednesday September 23, 2015 … ..earth … enters a new era: the Sunrise phase. And the Sunrise is always beautiful over .earth.

This extension is especially for any Earthling, Star Child, or members of the galactic Earth diaspora with direct or indirect links to Earth's citizens, cultures, or its languages. In the Sunrise phase, domains will be available for $250.39 per year.

The Sunrise phase is for TMCH-registered trademark holders. Contact our corporate support team if you have a TMCH-registered trademark (or would like help registering your existing trademark at TMCH) in order to register one of these new gTLDs during Sunrise. If you are not among the trademarked, you can still pre-register for the GoLive phase which begins Thursday November 19, 2015, at which point domains will be available for just $31.15. There will be no Landrush phase for .earth. We hope that's because the land belongs to us all?

In any case, don't miss your chance. There's only one .earth.
