Gandi supports GoodPlanet

GoodPlanet is a non-profit organization created and chaired by the famous protographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, whose aim is to heighten public awareness, to mobalize economic and political actors, and to act by creating programs and actions that provide concrete solutions to threats to our planet.

- To promote sustainable development, enabling each of us to become an actor of our planet’s evolution and consequently of our own future.
- To heighten public awareness of our world problems through several large-scale projects: cultural and pedagogic happenings, exhibitions, audiovisual productions, photographs, and books.
- To mobilize economic and political actors, associating them with Goodplanet’s actions, thus allowing them to become actively involved in sustainable development.
- To act, setting up programs that bring concrete answers to the threats facing our planet.
Goodplanet’s has set up several projects so far:
- "Sustainable development: what for?" an educational exhibition: 22 posters concerning both social and environmental issues in today's world, distributed free of charge to all the schools in France. "6 billion others" tries to portray the world's inhabitants under a sensitive and humanistic angle.
- "Action Carbone" is a program aimed at companies, institutions and individuals; it offers them the possibility to offset their emissions of greenhouse effect gases by funding programs.
- "Alive" is a spectacular exhibition made of 93 photographs of animals and nature, and 64 panels dealing with the dreadful human impact on the Earth.
