Who is Gandi?

GANDI.net, in operation since March 2000, is one of the first domain name registrars to have been approved by ICANN for .COM, .NET,.ORG, .BIZ, .INFO, .NAME and .BE domains. GANDI is also an accredited registrar for .FR and .EU domains since 2005.

GANDI SAS is a French company created in 1999 by three well-known individuals in the French internet world (Pierre Beyssac, Laurent Chemla, Valentin Lacambre). In 2005, it was bought by an experienced managerial team within the same field, in order to create an alternative and independent line of Internet services based around domain names.

Gandi is devoted to giving everyone tools for whatever their purpose is, whether it is to discuss their interests (travel, family, passions, etc.), present products or services, or to simply express themselves. In short, we enable people to lay claim to a personal and professional quality online presence. We position ourselves just after Internet access providers, since the domain name is only the first step in appropriating a piece of the Internet.

As of January 1st 2008, we manage more than 646,000 domain names in 192 countries which places us as first among domain name registrars in France and sixth in Europe (behind 5 German registrars - their market being proportionally the largest in the world).

Our clients range from individuals, associations and small companies, to public institutions (EU for example) and large multinational corporations. All have put confidence in us, and it's something we are deeply proud of.

Gandi is atypical in that we do not advertise in any way, nor do we resell our customers' personal information. From the beginning, our success has been based solely on word-of-mouth generated by our customers. We intend to continue this practice. In this vein, we believe that "know how" is important, but our values are what make Gandi tick. The interest of our customers always comes first since they will always be the origin of our success.

We endeavor to furnish you with the best product and service at the most reasonable price.
