... And why it is necessary to open a ticket to help us to process your request.
As we say hello to our new datacenter, we're saying goodbye to an old one.
That's not a rocket in our pocket we're just happy to launch the new Gandi News site with a new CMS.
Rightside Registry is extending its service to better cover TMCH registrants
Well. At least you can have your .health. At Gandi. Get it in Sunrise or pre-order for GoLive.
We are happy to announce that our new data center in Paris, FR-SD3, is now in production.
After a couple of months of well-received Alpha and Beta testing, we're now officially opening the datacenter in production and will soon set it as the default datacenter for new resources!
Be aware that only our Gandi Cloud hosting platform is currently available. This includes: Servers, Volumes, IPs, and Private VLANs. No date is currently set for the launch of Simple Hosting and Web Accelerators on FR-SD3. These are currently only available on our other datacenters in Paris and Luxembourg (FR-SD2 and LU-BI1, respectively).
We would like to thank all of you for helping test this new infrastructure and for having shared your feedback with us.
It's important to note that resource usage on this datacenter is no longer free, and the pricing scale in place on our other datacenters is now implemented for FR-SD3 as well.

Usually, second is not as good as first, but this month we're taking a few seconds to look at some seconds.
Our first steps with #gandiv5 were back in January and this month we're taking a second look at where we've been and where we're going. Beta testing on FR-SD3, after having been extended, is officially opening as our second Paris data center. We're also peaking into the world of domaining and the secondary domain name market and we're checking in on Recently-delegated TLDs for the second time this year. And then of course we're checking in on this month's TLD releases and of course our promo roundup.
It's been a few months since we first announced the launch of #gandiv5 and with four months of updates, new releases, openings, and feature adding, we're checking in on #gandiv5 to see how it's coming along and look forward to what's still to come.
While we initially expected to take FR-SD3 out of beta on March 20, we decided to extend the Beta phase, but now it's ready for a grand opening. On May 1 we gave our official fifteen day warning that FR-SD3 will be officially opening on May 15.
We've been selling domains since 1999 so it's no news that domain names are commodities and while it's existed from the beginning, the secondary domain name market has been attracting some attention lately.
We made some comments this month that might be of interest to anyone interested in investing in domain names.
Also of interest to domainers and people generally interested in domain names and especially the process of introducing new ones, this month after a bit of a hiatus. ICANN's delegation process has slowed to a trickle, though the TLDs being delegated are increasingly interesting in terms of the insight they provide into the arcane mechanisms of the TLD application and contention processes.
If you missed the first TLD release this month, we hope you have a chance to register the second.

After all around excellent results and feedback during our alpha and beta testing phases, we now have the pleasure of announcing that our new datacenter in Paris, FR-SD3, will be officially opening in production on May 15, 2017!
Starting on this date, FR-SD3 will be set to host your production infrastructure, though this also means that the conditions under which we were able to offer free hosting on this datacenter will no longer be in effect. Billing will then revert to the same rates as on our other datacenters. Until May 15, though, FR-SD3 will remain in Beta and hence free of charge.
It's worth noting that only our Cloud hosting service is currently availble for the moment on the new datacenter, that is: Servers, Volumes, IPs, and Private VLANs. We haven't set a date yet for launching Simple Hosting and Web Accelerators on FR-SD3, which for now are only available on either of our other two datacenters (FR-SD2 in Paris and LU-BI1 in Luxembourg, respectively).
As always, feel free to contact our Hosting Support team for any and all questions, comments, impressions, or thoughts. Or, alternatively, share them with us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
