If you were able to get a promo code on ten.gandi.net, but when you try to use it to register a domain you get an error message, please check that:
it has not already been used (found on Twitter for example),
you are trying to use it for an extension that is not participating in the promo
you are using this promo code before April 1st
If none of this applies to your case, then try again in two hours (the expiration time for an open session). If your code still does not work despite this, then please contact Gandi's support (and be sure to include your code in the mail).
Some customers may have experienced some degradation or a brief outage of the Gandi Mail service for mailboxes located on the affected switch module. The Gandi Website may also have experienced slower performance.
The affected card was replaced and all services are now fully operational as of 19:54 CET.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we are investigating with our supplier as to the cause of the hardware fault.
We took a bit longer than planned, as we were stuck due to an old Linux Kernel version that was preventing us from being able to provide the latest distributions. Following the last update, and in anticipation of the upcoming one, we are now able to move forward on this issue in the coming weeks. Our first addition will be version 9.10 of Ubuntu.
As of February 1st 2010, it is no longer necessary to have an administrative contact that is located in Luxembourg. The extension is therefore currently available to everyone. Following this simplification in procedures, we have decided to reduce our rates for the extension by 25% for all operations (creation, renewal, transfer...)
The boot process for the latest distributions requires a recent Linux kernel. Gandi's hosting platform currently uses 2.6.18-xenU, which is incompatible with distributions released in the end of 2009, such as Ubuntu Karmic. We are in the final beta testing phase of a new kernel that will allow you to perform the update without risk.
Therefore, please be aware that if you try to upgrade your server to one of these latest versions of your distributions before we implement the new kernel, that an incompatibility may arise. If this occurs, you will need to contact our support team so that your server can be rebooted.
We have been testing the new version of Gandi.net for the past few weeks/months so that the transition to version 3 would be as smooth as possible for everyone. Even though you may not always notice it, we have re-written a significant amount of code, and so there is the possibility that some new bugs might come up.
If you encounter a problem or detect a bug, please let us know, by sending us a mail to our customer care team with as much much detailed information as possible (operating system, web browser an version used, your Gandi handle, a screenshot, etc.).
