Assigning:
- .kw domain names are open to trademark owners having a company registered in Kuwait.
- .com.kw domain names are open to commercial entities and natural persons registered in Kuwait.
If you are a company / commercial entity but you do not have a local presence, Gandi can provide one.
The technical contact must be different to the owner and administrative contacts.
Syntax: from 4 (2 for .com.kw) to 63 alphanumeric characters or a hyphen (excluding in the first and last place).
IDN: no.
Registration period: 2 years.
Second-level extensions: yes, Gandi provides .com.kw.
Procedures
Registration: once your registration request made on our website, please send us the following documents:
- for natural persons registered in Kuwait: a copy of Your civil ID and a brief handwritten paragraph indicating the reason of your registration request,
- for commercial entities registered in Kuwait: a copy of your business registration certificate with a clear expiry date, and an original letter requesting the domain name signed by the representative of your entity on official letterhead with your entity stamp,
- for entities not registered in Kuwait: the original registration request letter completed and signed by the representative of your entity on official letterhead signed with your entity stamp,
- and in addition for .kw registration, the trademark certificate.
Renewal: a copy of your business registration certificate is required for entities registered in Kuwait.
