Get yourself a .re domain name
The .re domain ending was created in 1997 as the official domain ending for Réunion, one of France's overseas departments. While this domain name was made especially for individuals and organizations (including businesses) on the island of Réunion, it's possible register a .re domain name if you're from anywhere in the European Union: like .fr, .re is managed by the Association française pour le nommage Internet en coopération (Afnic).
Expand your reach overseas with a .re domain name
You can register a .re domain name if you're from any country in the European Union, but also Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, or Iceland, whether you're an individual or an organization, including businesses, for anywhere between one and ten years. Why miss out? A .re domain name is secure, and governed by Afnic's naming policies, which guarantee quality of technical services, but also respect for the rights of third parties and the public interest.
Today, more than 32,000 businesses or individuals have a .re domain name, which provides them with real visibility in Réunion, but also in the surrounding region.
A solid level of stability and performance for .re
Because .re is managed by Afnic, it has the same high level of stability and performance — and also security — that .fr does, which is why it enjoys an excellent reputation with many businesses. DNSSEC, a protocol that ensures the integrity of DNS responses, is also available on .re.
