Why .ch?

What are the benefits of a .ch domain name?

Created in 1987 when the internet was first getting started in Europe, .ch is Switzerland's dedicated territorial domain ending. It's an abbreviation of the French term confédération helvétique or "Helvetic Confederation," in English. Reaching a demand peak in 2014, when it was one of the most popular domain endings with almost 2 million registrations, .ch has always enjoyed a certain popularity. In terms of reliability, ch has an exceptional reputation, and it's been able to not only grow in Europe, but also around the world.

An opening to the outside world with a .ch domain name

If your business is in Switzerland, .ch is very effective: it could be where you do business, the market you want to develop, or the country where you work with vendors or regular customers, etc. You can use .ch to localize your business and make it known in the geographic area of Switzerland without necessarily living there, or even having your business registered there.

Protect your business's reputation with a .ch domain name

Swiss industries enjoy a prestigious reputation for most European internet users. As such, they will naturally trust a .ch domain name when they navigate to your site. Available without any eligibility requirements, you can register a .ch domain name for up to ten years.
