Procedures

Registration: during the registration of a .DE, the DNS (A, MX, and CNAME) of the domain name must be correctly configured so that it can pass the registry's zonecheck. 3 servers of 2 different C classes are required (you can use Gandi's DNS)
DNS change: to change your DNS for DNS Gandi, please contact our customer service (zonecheck required)
Renewal: before the expiration date
Disputes: https://www.denic.de/en/service/dispute/
Transfer (change of Registrar):the process is started on the new registrar's interface. Ensure that you have the domain's authorization code and your domain does not expire soon. The effective transfer depends on your validation (by e-mail) and resets the expiration date of the domain name at Gandi
Change of Ownership:Available on our interface, the current procedure consists of sending a confirmation e-mail to the new and current owners of the domain name
Deletion process:upon the expiration, the domain name is released by Gandi to the Registry. At this time, the domain name is placed in “TRANSIT” status and you have a period of 4 weeks to decide to transfer back your domain name to Gandi (please contact our customer service department) or delete it (directly via the Registry interface). If you do nothing your domain will be transferred for administration to DENICdirect Service
